I was initially drawn to architecture through a love of drawing, though what I love about architecture now is the legacy it leaves, particularly in the education and community sectors. The way we design spaces and structures can make an everyday impact on our young people and communities, empowering the next generation to think differently about the environment and sustainability.
Scott Schindel is a Senior Associate with more than two decades’ experience in architecture and expert knowledge in design, documentation, and contract administration. Scott’s insight and attention to detail have been crucial to projects across a wide range of sectors including corrections, tourism, sports and recreation, public spaces, and education.

In his role as Brisbane Studio Technical Lead, Scott elevates the technical skills of our team, ensuring they continue to develop expertise in materials, detailing, and construction. By fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, he empowers the production team to successfully document and deliver projects with excellence.
Known for his humour and ability to make the team laugh on even the most stressful of days, Scott subscribes to the theory that there is no wrong time for a dad joke. His personable nature is also appreciated in client relationships and helps to soften some of the challenging aspects of projects when they arise.
Outside of work Scott enjoys getting into nature and spending quality time with family. He believes in practicing the power of being in the present and enjoying everything life has to offer.
