Every year, our Brisbane studio comes alive with creativity, camaraderie, and community spirit at the GB-Art Show. It’s more than just an art exhibition—it's our annual social event, bringing together clients, consultants, friends, family, and our local community to enjoy a night of fantastic art, all while raising funds for a great cause: Hear & Say.
As one of the most anticipated events on our social calendar, the Art Show has grown so popular that we now must cap numbers to accommodate everyone in our studio space. For one night, we transform our office—usually bustling with desks and designers—into a vibrant, makeshift gallery where local artists set up and share their unique talents.
An evening of diverse art
This year’s lineup featured an incredible range of art styles, from pottery to hand sketches, photography, weaving and live portraits. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces back this year. Artists like Alan Innes and Mike Carter, who keep showing up to support and donate really help make the event feel like a tradition.
Alongside works from talented local artists, we were proud to showcase pieces created by members of our own GB-A Brisbane and Melbourne teams, especially with sketches from both our studios—which really brought our Back to Basics them this year. We also featured artwork from family members of GB-A. This personal touch added a wonderful sense of connection and community to the night, allowing guests to experience a unique blend of professional and personal creativity.
Some of our talented artists included:
Akiko Milner @akkopottery
Alan Innes – @alaninnes.art
Chrystal Timms – @chrystaltimmsart
Magda Myszkowski @madziakski
Steve Younger @setsolid
Mimu Co – @artbymimu

We’re super grateful for everyone’s enthusiasm, whether they’re returning artists or first timers. We even had people from the community wanting to join in, from locals passing by our studio to QUT students. It’s clear the GB-Art Show has really turned into a community night of art and giving!
Supporting a great cause: Hear & Say
All ticket sales and funds raised during the event went to Hear & Say, an incredible organisation dedicated to helping both children and adults with hearing loss through services like speech pathology, audiology, and cochlear implants.
We host the Art Show each year on ‘Loud Shirt Day,’ Hear & Say’s biggest fundraising event, and we were honoured to have Zowie, Peter, and Sharon from their team join us this year.
Sharon, the acting CEO, shared inspiring stories of how donations make a difference, and thanks to our combined efforts, Hear & Say surpassed their ambitious $200,000 goal for Loud Shirt Day.
