At the core of everything I do, I focus on providing a single source of truth, clear and concise communication, honesty, and transparency, ensuring the team can collaborate effectively and perform at their best.
Carlie is an Associate, the Brisbane Studio Manager, and a highly experienced Senior Architectural Technician. With more than 20 years’ experience in the building and construction industry both in Australia and the UK, Carlie has led and organised several multidisciplinary teams for large scale projects and understands how critical clear communication is to the success of projects.
LGBTQIA+
Well-equipped to take a project from concept to completion, she has worked across a range of different sectors including corrections, defence, health, community, education, and sports and recreation.
As an advocate for inclusivity within design, Carlie has become a key industry voice around LGBTQIA+ discrimination. She has developed an interactive 1-hour formal CPD on 'How to be an awesome ally to the LGBTQIA+ community' that has been presented at leading design firms around the country. When Carlie isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog Gordon and practising Zen Do Kai karate where she has reached the level of second degree Black Belt.
