Since 2012, our Brisbane studio has transformed into a pop-up gallery celebrating local artists, creative expression and the power of community. Join us for a night of artwork, drinks, raffle prizes and meaningful fundraising as we come together to support Hear and Say’s Loud Shirt Day!
Creativity rarely begins with a finished vision. It starts with a line on trace paper, a sketch in a notebook, a detail noticed on a morning walk, or a story overheard in passing. Long before a design or artwork is complete, inspiration leaves its trace.
This year's GB-Art Show celebrates the traces that shape our creative journeys. From the streets we walk, the people we meet, the places we inhabit, and the details we notice to the memories we carry and the experiences that inspire us, every artwork is a reflection of the marks left behind and the ideas carried forward.
TRACE is a celebration of beginnings. Of first thoughts and evolving ideas. Of creative sparks captured on paper and transformed into something meaningful. It acknowledges not only the finished work, but the process, curiosity and discovery that make it possible. As you will find, each piece in this year’s Art Show tells a story of observation, interpretation and expression. Together, they reveal the many ways creativity is gathered, explored and shared.
WHY WE SUPPORT HEAR AND SAY
Hear and Say is a specialised provider of audiology and speech pathology services, supporting individuals with hearing loss, from newborns to adults. With one in six Australians currently impacted by hearing loss (a figure expected to rise to one in four by 2060), the demand for speech pathology and audiology services across Queensland is immense, and there aren’t enough resources to meet the need.
Fundraising events like Loud Shirt Day, that the GB-Art Show is part of, are critical in helping Hear and Say bridge this gap. All funds raised enable Hear and Say to extend their reach, providing one-on-one, face-to-face support in rural and remote communities where access to these services is limited.

COST: $20 per person (all proceeds donated to Hear and Say)
INCLUDES: Entry to the exhibition, 1 raffle ticket, drinks and nibbles. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase.

Meet Binny,
The story behind TRACE
Perched above our Brisbane studio, Binny holds a roll of yellow trace paper in his toes.
Gifted to GB-A Director Phil Jackson to celebrate 30 years with the practice, Binny has quickly become a symbol of curiosity, creativity and observation.
Created by Brisbane artist Ryan Forster (Sethius Art), Binny reminds us that inspiration is gathered from the world around us and often found in the details others overlook.
The trace paper he carries speaks to the beginning of every creative journey. A quick sketch. A fleeting thought. A possibility worth pursuing. It's where ideas are collected before they are refined, explored before they are realised. Like our designers and the artists exhibiting, Binny is drawn to the details that others might overlook. The treasures, stories, places and moments that leave an impression.
TRACE celebrates those moments. The things we notice, the experiences that stay with us and the creative marks they leave behind.
