Kings Beach Beachfront Salt Water Pool

The redevelopment of the Kings Beach Pool was the final stage of the five-stage multi-million dollar redevelopment of Caloundra’s foreshore.

The pool design is versatile and includes a semi-circular beach swim out for children, a large designated lap pool, and a Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant ramp that provides easy access for wheelchairs. The pool also features stainless steel seats in the water that allow parents to watch children swimming and members of the community sit and relax in the water. For the safety of the community clean ocean water is filtered and pumped into the pool by a recirculation system that continuously runs to ensure clean, debris-free ocean water is in the pool at all times.

Skillion-roofed structures, which cantilever over the pool edge provide visitors with ample shade from the sun. Numerous large pandanus trees, many of which were transplanted from the existing pool site, border the northeastern edge of the pool to provide further shade and greenery.
