Landscape Architecture that promotes Greater Biodiversity
Our track record designing beautiful, functional, sustainable, and award-winning landscape architecture at GB-Landscape started over three decades ago with our foundational project, Kingfisher Bay Resort and Village on World Heritage listed Fraser Island.
Through this project, only plants on the site, local gene pool species that caused no threat to the ecological and environmental state of the site, were used. An on-site nursery was also established to utilise the plants of the site in the new landscape with Australian Bushfood plants used for the restaurant. This approach formed the basis of the now popular concept of ecotourism.
Today, we apply the same passion to leave the site better than we found it and look to increase site biodiversity by 20% on every project we work on.

Creating a strong sense of place through engaging storytelling
A project takes on new life when placemaking and storytelling combine into physical form. Our team are highly experienced at placemaking, theming and storytelling. We look for opportunities to work with clients and local governments to create awe-inspiring, educational, and fun experiences through landscape architecture, utilising innovative materials and relevant theming to create a strong sense of place in our community projects.

Carefully considering the design of each landscape and the placement and use of trees, shrubs, and hedges, we create healthier environments, and more comfortable, safer settings for you to enjoy.
UNLOCKING THE POWER OF PLAY
As a team, we understand the importance of play. Unstructured, all-consuming, and fun it not only provides endless opportunities for joy, but necessary life skills around problem solving, risk management, innovation, creativity, and independence. It’s why we believe that everyone – regardless of age or ability – deserves the right to be adventurous, ignite their imagination, challenge themselves and experience the blissful abandon of play. Creating spaces for the community to explore their world through play forms a key part of most community projects.
PROVIDING INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO FUNCTIONAL CHALLENGES
Throughout our designs, we also identify problem areas and develop a plan to address functional challenges like drainage and overland flow issues, planting design, weed removal, vegetation management, pedestrian and vehicular access and safety concerns that can arise from heights and maintenance issues.
